Italian Cheesesteak Sandwich Recipe
I am a brand representative for Ragú® Old World Style® Traditional Sauce #NewTradish and I was compensated for this post. But like all of the food I write about- If my family and I wouldn’t eat it then it doesn’t belong on my website. Try this quick weeknight meal- you will love it!
We are all busy. I am busy, you are busy. I get it. I have tried to make a conscious effort the last few years to cook most of our dinners every week. Whether ahead of time or the day of- I want to eat what WE make way more than what someone else makes.
This meal is not only fast but it mimics what you may love in your favorite pizza parlor hot sandwich: beef, melted cheese, sauteed veggies and a rich tomato sauce. Best part- you can make this for about $12. Total. That’s a $12 meal for a family of 4 guys!
A few tips: pop the beef in the freezer for about 20 minutes before you slice it. It helps when slicing the meat and aids in the thin slices- which you need for this recipe. Also, don’t skip the step where you rub the hot bread with a garlic clove. It gives it such a great taste in one simple step!
Did you know that each and every jar of Ragú® Old World Style® Traditional Sauce has at least 11 tomatoes making it richer, thicker and just taste better (vs. previous formula)? That is exactly what I want to hear when I am menu planning for my family!
