Fresh peach salsa is the second recipe in my summer salsa series. Fresh peaches are given a little kick of southwestern heat, blending them with red bell peppers, diced tomatoes, green chiles, sweet red onion, lime, and spices.
The first recipe in the summer salsa series, watermelon blueberry feta salad, was technically, not a salsa. While it is certainly delicious, that salad is a bit difficult to plunge tortilla chips into. This fresh peach salsa is another story altogether, because it is definitely plunge-worthy!
This recipe, the salad, and a blueberry-corn salsa, were made on a segment of IndyStyle, which I appeared in last month. I’ll share the blueberry corn salsa recipe with you next week, but until then, let’s eat fresh peaches!
I tend to get excited when the fresh peaches from Georgia start to appear on store shelves. I love to use them in both sweet and savory recipes. Mind you, not as excited as I get when it’s strawberry season, and I’m making recipes with strawberries to my heart’s content, but peaches do make me happy.
This fresh peach salsa can be used for more than just a dip, though. It’s delicious served over baked, broiled, or grilled fish, pork, or poultry.
So grab a bag of your favorite dipping chips and let’s get this salsa show on the road!
Ingredients you’ll need to make this fresh peach salsa:
