I am a firm believer that until you have used a slow cooker you don’t really comprehend how awesome they are! Nothing beats coming home from a long day at work to a completely cooked meal. It is hot and ready to eat and the cleanup is usually a snap!
I have had a long standing love of the Gooseberry Patch line of cookbooks and video tutorials. I read them like a book-cover to cover, making notes and marking the pages of what I want to make. Typically I cook completely through them.
See, as an experienced home cook and working parent, I know a good cookbook when I see it. I have had many and in most I will find 3 or 4 things to make. Not with Gooseberry Patch. Their recipes are tailored to fit my busy schedule. Easy to follow recipes with ingredients I can find-and afford!
A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to get a preview copy of Weeknight Dinners and absolutely loved the Monday-Friday thematic format. I gave a copy away to one of you and now I am giving away a copy of their newest:
I love that the book is split into seasons because we all know that a slow cooker is perfect anytime! From soups to breakfast-desserts to shredded pork there is something in there for anyone and anytime!
