Earth Eats on The Friday Zone Episode 1

September 10, 2012 By admin 1 comment

Welcome! Are you a subscriber? Click here to receive my weekly newsletter. Thanks for visiting!

I am so excited to share with you all the FIRST episode of the Earth Eats test kitchen on The Friday Zone! This was such a fun project and I have been eagerly anticipating it’s debut!

The Friday Zone is an award-winning children’s series airing weekly throughout southern and central Indiana on WTIU and WFYI. On the air since 1999, The Friday Zone‘s mission is to encourage children ages 6 – 9 to investigate, experience and understand the world around them. Each episode features field trips, DIY activities and expert demonstrations.

TFZ encourages parents and teachers to share The Friday Zone with the children in their lives.  As an alternative to main-stream programming, The Friday Zone offers a safe place for kids to be entertained while learning about the world around them.  In addition to a foundation built on Indiana’s core curriculum for students age 6 – 9, The Friday Zone also showcases strong social values and the importance of the individual’s role in a community.

With each episode focusing on a single theme or concept, Parents and Teachers can use The Friday Zone at home and in the classroom to explore these topic areas.  Specific segments from the show can then be used as jumping-off points for further discussion, a more in-depth lesson, or a complex individual or group activity.

Please take a second to watch our first short segment. I would love your feedback! Remember, this was my first time doing something like this…be kind ????
