Spinach, Feta and Hummus Turkey Burger Recipe with Creamy Cucumber Topping
Burgers are notoriously known as a heavier option on the menu. You take a patty of ground meat and add possible topping combinations like bacon, cheese, mayonnaise and more and you took a simple piece of ground meat to a whole other caloric level. But what if you want to keep the flavor- and eat it too, so to speak?
That’s where this simple and flavorful turkey burger recipe comes in. I see turkey, a lean and healthy protein, as a blank slate just asking to be transformed into something delicious. Which is what I have done in this recipe. This turkey burger recipe doesn’t dry out because of 1 secret ingredient: Sabra Hummus.
Yes, you read that right. When I was mixing my ingredients for my classic Greek inspired turkey burger recipe I decided to add a bit of healthy flavor to the mix- literally. What I got was one of the best burgers I have made in some time. I finished it off with a dollop of creamy cucumber sauce and a slice of Indiana tomato. Perfection.
If you are looking for a trimmer turkey burger recipe that stays moist and flavorful, then this one is for you.
Be sure to save a few extra portions for lunches later in the week too!
