Greek Chicken Bake – The March Door to Wellness Recipe at The Little Red Door Cancer Agency
For the March Door to Wellness cooking class, at The Little Red Door Cancer Agency,we learned how to use fresh herbs to boost our recipes instead of added salt. The LRDCA Garden Club met last week and talked about growing herbs for kitchen use so what better time to talk about incorporating those herbs into recipes!
What I like best about these classes is we all have a chance to collaborate and work together. Everyone has a station if they so choose and we all get down to work preparing our meal- together.
A few clients shared how they incorporated some of this recipes ingredients into their own diets daily in many ways. From a teaspoon of garlic daily to treat symptoms of diabetes to spinach, greens and herbs to add more cancer fighting folic acid- they are all looking for easy ways to get the most out of their food.
I had some great conversations with a few of the class members this week and left there better for having been a part of the class. That is the feeling I get every time I see their clients. Find something you love to do~ and do it on purpose!
We all sat down to eat together after class. That is what is great about this. Clients enjoy the healing effects of yoga, nutrition and health information, a cooking class and a healthy lunch together.
