A Wine Education Series at Mallow Run Winery!
A three part class, perfect for the beginning wine lover!
Are you just getting started in the world of wines and wineries? Have you always had your favorite vino, but want to learn about and try something new and different? Do you have a pretty good general knowledge of wines, but want to learn more about the viticulture and wine making practices taking place in the Hoosier state? Want to have fun learning about and tasting wines and practicing food pairings? Sign up for our Mallow Run 101 Intro to Wine class! This three part class will explore a variety of topics and each session includes a wine flight that compliments the focus of the class.
Session One: Monday, April 14th 6:30-8pm
Topics: The history of Mallow Run Winery, viticulture in Indiana, hybrid grapes, how to taste wine and what to look for, wine making basics
Session Two: Monday, April 21st 6:30-8pm
Topics: Where grapes grow and why, how to look for different characteristics in wine such as body and oak, how to select wine at store or restaurant, how to identify what YOU love in a wine
Session Three: Monday, April 28th 6:30-8pm
Topics: An intro to food and wine pairings, with delicious course samples created by Heather Tallman, aka Basilmomma
COST: $75 per person; this includes all three sessions (sessions cannot be broken up and paid for individually) with take-home booklet, wine flights and a glass of wine at each class, and food samples at the final session. No refunds for missed sessions. Must be 21+ to register.
