Indiana’s Hottest Kitchen Entrepreneur Challenge!

I am a judge at this event again this year and NOW is the time to enter! Get all of the information here. You may have heard me interview last years winner Gustavo Perrotta on Around the Kitchen Sink (if not click HERE).

Enter the Hottest Kitchen Entrepreneur Challenge and take your food or beverage idea to the next level. If you’re a home cook, an aspiring chef or foodie with an innovative food business concept, or are in the early stages of running a business, enter our Challenge and get your idea in front of the region’s premier chefs, restaurateurs, financial experts, and food and
beverage industry executives.

There are two categories. Pick the one that applies to you, read the rules and get ready to enter! You will be asked to answer the questions below and upload a photo of your creation before midnight on Friday, May 16, 2014.

All entrants must be able to attend the final judging event where finalists’ food or beverage samples will be tasted by judges and winners will be selected:

INDIANA – Wednesday, July 30 at Ivy Tech Corporate College and Culinary Center in Indianapolis.

Challenge Rules

  • No purchase necessary.
  • Contest officially opens on Wednesday, April 2, 2014. Entries must be submitted online at www.hotwater247.com
  • DEADLINE: All essays must be submitted by midnight on Friday, May 16, 2014.
  • One photo, in JPG or GIF format ONLY of the food or beverage concept must be submitted with entry. Maximum file size is 3 MB.
  • Submissions are welcome from chefs and foodies in early-stage businesses (in business for 3 years or less) throughout the state.
  • Answers to online questionnaire must stay within character limits as noted (1,000 characters, or approximately 250 words maximum per question).

 Eligibility: Indiana

Entrants must be a legal resident of Indiana.
Entrants must be available to attend a finalist judging event at Ivy Tech Corporate College and Culinary Center in Indianapolis on Wednesday, July 30 from approximately 10:00 am until 5:00 pm.

Not Eligible

Any individuals (including but not limited to employees, consultants, independent contractors, and interns) who have, within the past six months, performed services for Reliable Water Services, their respective parent, subsidiary, affiliated and successor companies, and immediate family and household members of such individuals or any employees of participating contest sponsors or judges.

Review and Evaluation

Entries Applications will be reviewed and evaluated separately by several individual judges based on uniqueness and marketability of the concept, and the story behind the concept. PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT YOUR ACTUAL RECIPE.

Finalists will be notified via phone and/or email. Final judging will consist of a tasting event. The winners will be selected based upon criteria including:
Flavor
Appearance/Presentation
Creativity
Marketability

Finalists’ entries will be posted on the Reliable Water Services and sponsoring partners’ websites and promoted through publicity and other marketing vehicles. Entrants authorize the right to use their business name, photos and entry content for these promotional purposes.

By participating in this contest, entrants agree to be bound by the requirements outlined above and by the decisions of the judges which are final in all matters related to the contest. Reliable Water Services reserves the right to reject any entries that do not comply with these rules.
