Super fuel trail mix is a healthy snack, made with nuts, dried fruit, pumpkin and sunflower seeds, and dark chocolate. The perfect portable snack, packed with fuel!
I am often asked for ideas for healthy snacks that are not only portable, but easy to make in large batches. One such quickie is trail mix. I make several different types of trail mix, but not all of them are as healthy as this super fuel trail mix recipe is.
Noah’s Super Fuel Trail Mix
This healthy snack is actually my oldest son’s creation. He likes a bit of saltiness with the sweet. We make this a lot in the summer to eat while at the lake because it’s healthy and portable! It is also a versatile recipe. You can add the healthy snack ingredients that your family likes, or whatever sounds good to you.
Now, this is more of a hodge-podge of ingredients than an actual recipe. I wanted to get my son in on the action, but he didn’t want me to post his picture. He knows that a few of his teachers read my blog, so he thought it would have been humiliating. Remember, he is 12 and all angst-y. ????
