Layered Greek Hummus Dip- as healthy as it is beautiful! Layered Greek Hummus Dip, lightened up with protein-packed Greek yogurt, is a real party pleaser!

Are you a fan of hummus, olives, feta cheese and dips in general? If so then you will love this creamy layered Greek hummus dip. It takes the look of the classic layered salad and gives it a bit of Mediterranean flair by using one of my go-to healthy snacks: Sabra Hummus and Toufayan Pitas! I lightened up this layered Greek hummus dip a bit from a traditional layered dip or salad by moving away from a mayonnaise or sour cream layer. Instead, I decided to keep with the “Greek” theme and use calcium and protein rich Greek yogurt. That’s a healthy dairy swap I love!

You may remember, if you are following along, that I made this dip on IndyStyle in a segment all about making healthy dairy swaps in our favorite dips just in time for holiday gatherings. If you missed the segment you can watch it HERE:

Layered Greek hummus dip is actually quite simple to assemble. I used a clear, glass trifle-style bowl because- don’t you want to show off those pretty layers? But really, use what you have. The food police won’t get ya!

Layered Greek Hummus Dip

I used Sabra Olive Tapenade Hummus for my hummus layer because I like it AND it combines olives and the hummus thus eliminating the need to buy olives. See, I am always thinking. I mixed a bit of dried Italian seasoning in with the Greek yogurt to give it a bit of zest, and the rest is easy. Set out something to dip in to this layered Greek hummus dip like a whole grain Toufayan pita and this is not only a healthy snack, it is a complete meal! Come on, don’t you make a meal out of dips? Just me?
