Now that you know how to store and soak dried beans you are ready to cook them!

 Use one of the 3 Ways to Cook Dried Beans below:

Dutch oven: 

Cover with water by 2 inches

Bring to a boil for 2 minutes

Place lid on beans, remove from heat, allow to sit for 1-4 hours or until soft (beans vary)

Use in your favorite recipe

Slow cooker:

Cover with water by 2 inches

Cook on low 6-8 hours or until soft

Use in your favorite recipe

Pressure cooker:

Cover with water being careful to only fill bowl half full of beans and water

Add 2 tsp of olive oil to prevent foam from clogging pressure valve

Heat on high pressure 15-20 minutes

Use in your favorite recipe

Rinse

Soak
