I am a coffee drinker. I discovered it later than the typical person probably did- between the birth of my first and second child. I didn’t easily fall in love with this traditionally beloved morning beverage. No, that would have been too easy.
Instead, like every new experience I try, I researched to find the right way to prepare it, the best beans to buy, etc. Should I grind my own? Light roast, dark roast, French press or drip. I dove right in to the facts. I wanted the best coffee experience possible. I wanted to know what it was that everyone held in such high esteem. AKA: what everyone seemed so addicted to.
I learned very quickly that I was no gas station coffee drinker. I didn’t want to kill the flavor with sugar and milk and I also didn’t want to drink coffee so deep and so dark that it appeared to have baked into the pot.
After a few years I discovered Green Mountain Coffee®. Their range in flavor choices, responsible farming practices and crisp, clean taste drew me in. Even better was their stellar selection of K-cups for my Keurig.
What sealed the deal was their new iced coffee. Way better than what I can make myself, less work (hello just fill a glass with ice and pour) and the balanced sweet to creamy ratio-HOOKED me!
I want you to try it to. Trust me- you will like this. A few of you asked, after seeing my happy Instagram pictures, if I thought it was too sweet. To me- it’s not. My favorite is the Mocha variety for sure. Treat yourself with a bit of fresh whipped cream. Even better- set this out on your drink station during your holiday gatherings. Your guests will love you for it.
Sometimes you want a nice hot cup of coffee. Morning’s are a great time for that. But when you want a little something sweet that is a nice pick me up- try this. Let me know when you do and what you think.
