Big, Bold, Beautiful Food and I just knew that this recipe would be my gateway back into the loving and healthy embrace of the brussel sprout. I had forsaken them long ago when I had eaten one too many a mushy, grey and tasteless bulb. I knew that Ninette was a fabulous cook so I trusted her here.
Check her out…you won’t regret it. Creative cooking that thinks outside of the box…without all of the fussy fanfare, that is how I sum up this site. I have made so many of her dishes like Dutch Apple Cheese Muffins, Broccoli Raabe with Sausage and Garlic and my favorite Pumpkin Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting !

But I will tell you this: I have made it with both the candied walnut garnish and without. I like it both ways BUT my son is allergic to nuts so I don’t make it with them when he is home ????
