Cancer Fighting Recipes with Little Red Door Cancer Agency as shown in our Door to Wellness Class and at the Indiana State Fair!
If I were to say my late summer had a focus, then it was to share cancer fighting recipes with as many people as possible. Thanks to Little Red Door Cancer Agency, I am given a platform to educate and learn from those currently in treatment or are caregivers of those affected by cancer.
Cancer fighting recipes are all over the internet these days and it can be a bit overwhelming if you are looking for specific recipes. Chances are that much of what you are eating already can be modified to include more of what the American Cancer Society considers to be a cancer fighting food or superfood.

In my last Door to Wellness class I shared what I consider to be one of my easier cancer fighting recipes: Easy Chicken Casserole. Packed with whole grains in the rice, protein in the chicken, cheese and beans, calcium, and veggies- this is a casserole that busts the myth that all casseroles are bad for you.
Little Red Door Cancer Agency and I just wrapped up 17 days at the Indiana State Fair where we cooked daily at 1 pm on the Marsh Supermarkets Stage in the Ag/Hort Building. Each day we spent the hour education about the agency and what it does for others while sharing a few simple, cancer fighting recipes.
Smoothies: Banana Berry and a Basic Green
Harvest Skillet with Pork, Sweet Potatoes and Apples
BBQ Salmon with Sweet Corn Relish
White Bean Salad with Herbs
(recipes coming soon)
We had a great time and super turnout for each show. I this this was our best year yet with engaged crowds, kind compliments and LOTS of discussion about cancer fighting recipes!
Please share any cancer fighting recipes or tips below, I would love to hear from you!
