It was recently brought to my attention that for the last 5 months no one has been getting the email responses that I have been sending through my blog/gmail. What happens is when someone comments on a post I receive an email through Gmail. I then open that email and respond to each person individually instead of giving a general comment response on each post. I wanted to personally thank each person that took their time to read what I had put on basilmomma , as a measure of gratitude.
So when I casually asked someone who comments on my posts almost daily if they got my email response they said no. Then I asked several others all with the same response. I literally became sick to my stomach that I was giving the impression that your feedback didn’t count when in truth it really does more than you know.

There are more than 6,800 Mommy blogs out there and for you to take the time to read mine is humbling to say the least. I have gotten so much positive feedback from friends and complete strangers from all over that it has really motivated me to keep doing this. When faced with occasional lightly veiled criticism from others these daily little notes from you all fill my heart with happiness.
So please know that I do read each and every one of your comments. I guess I need to find a new way to respond to each of them. My suggestion would be that when you identify yourself in the name portion of the comment box that you add your email address.
Also, another way to communicate with me would be through my basilmomma facebook page. There is a link in the upper right hand side of this home screen. I get notifications when you go on that page and I do certainly want you to “like” it. That way you can get my updates when they are made. I have many new things coming up that I am excited to tell you about. One of them is a side interest of mine which is destination dinners. I am teaming up with another local blogger to write about where to go, what to pack and where to eat. Keep your eyes peeled for this…coming soon!
