Welcome! Are you a subscriber? Click here to receive my weekly newsletter. Thanks for visiting!

This is information shared in collaboration with Fresh Thyme Farmers Market and as you know I perform cooking demonstrations in their stores periodically. All opinions shared are my own ????

FreshThyme

I am excited to announce that Fresh Thyme Farmers Market is opening up TWO new stores in the Indianapolis area-  West 86th St and East 82nd St. This brings their store total to SEVEN new stores that opened up in the year alone! It has been a blessing to the southside of Indianapolis/Greenwood where I live. I have witnessed this first hand.

Fresh Thyme Farmers Market Greenwood

I have been fortunate enough to be invited to cook for the guests of Fresh Thyme Farmers Market on several occasions in the Greenwood store. Each time I literally walk in with a few ideas, grab the ad and shop from what is on sale and special. I take it to the front of the store, often with a group of shoppers, and get started cooking. Last time I made watermelon lemonade, Greek meatballs with Tzaziki (a HUGE hit) and blueberry sweet corn salsa. This is a great time to get to know the shopper, share recipes and swap tips and do a bit of educating on how to shop what is on sale and in season. I have had a HUGE response from happy taste testers and it is quite possibly on my top 5 best live cooking experiences mental list ????

I will be at Fresh Thyme Farmers Market cooking for guests on Saturday, September 27th from 10 am-1 pm at the E 82nd St location and on Sunday from 12-3 at the West 86th St location. I am typically in the front of the store so look for me at a long table chatting it up with the guests! SO far I have fed- oh you know, close to a thousand people!

Guess what? I am giving away TWO $25 Fresh Thyme Farmers Market gift cards EACH DAY! 2 on Saturday at the 82nd St location and 2 on Sunday at the 86th St location. That’s FOUR lucky winners that I can’t wait to meet!

It's cold out so soup sounds good and with all the great veggies at FTFM - how about your version of minestrone or vegetable soup?

The 82nd Street store is walking distance from my office! I have been (im)patiently waiting for opening day since the first sign went up! I would love to see you make some healthy side dish options, as that is what we struggle with the most. Thanks for the chance to win!

I would like you to demo a healthy kid friendly meal. Maybe incorporating veggies into classic kid favorite foods like mac and cheese or a pizza.

Cold weather is coming! Something with fall/winter veggies? I can do a lot with spring and summer produce, but I am never quite sure what to do with winter squash, greens, etc to get my kids to eat it.

Anything gluten free - something that maybe takes a little bit more effort to make that most people may not want to take the time. Like gluten free mini corndogs :-) Or even gluten free pizza!

I'd love to sample anything that was gluten-free and if you could mix in fall flavors - pumpkin or caramel or apple, that would be fantastic!

I'm so glad to have one on my side of town now (as all the southsiders roll their eyes at me)! I'd love to see you make something from the big selection of frozen seafood I noticed while visiting last night. It all looked delicious!
