From hot cocoa to a hot toddy, here are 50 warm beverage recipes, for kids and adults alike. There’s sure to be something for everyone’s tastes today!

We all love warm drinks and this time of year, we are craving them.  Here are 50 of my favorite recipes, from my kitchen and from other foodie friends I know. I also made a few of these this week on IndyStyle on WISHTV in Indianapolis this week.  After a long day of work, carpooling or running around with your kids, skip the long lines at the drive-thru. Make your own warm drinks, saving money while you are at it!

Mulled wine, hot toddy and toasted coconut hot chocolate

Mulled Wine

My favorite Mulled wines are made with a nice, dry red, a slice of mandarin orange and a cinnamon stick.  Try a mulled variety, like the one I used on air from Easley Winery, or make your own. Here is my DIY recipe.

In addition to these two adult warm drinks, I also boozed up my slow cooker hot chocolate, two ways.

First up is a peppermint hot chocolate warmer, made with 6 ounces of prepared hot chocolate, 1.5 ounces bourbon, and a slice of peppermint marshmallow from 240Sweet .  Don’t have that kind of marshmallow? Add 2 drops of peppermint extract to 1 cup of freshly whipped cream.

If peppermint isn’t your thing, try toasted coconut hot chocolate. To 6 ounces of prepared hot chocolate, add 1 ounce of Kahlua, a dollop of coconut infused whipped cream, and rim the glass with toasted coconut. This time of year I keep a small container of toasted coconut in the refrigerator, specifically for garnishes like this.

Want to make coconut infused whipped cream? It’s just like the peppermint version, but add coconut extract instead.

Want to order some Wilks and Wilson ginger syrup, Best Boy Hot Fudge, Hot Chocolate Spoons from DeBrands, or find Mallow Run and Easley Wine? It is a great way to support small and local businesses!

Non-Alcoholic Warm Drinks

For the kids, make these time-tested favorites: Slow Cooker Hot Chocolate, Butter Beer and Toffee Hot Chocolate.
