Pork Yakisoba is an easy-to-prepare, flavorful Asian dinner. Lean pork, carrots, cabbage, onion, and red bell pepper are flavored with Asian spices and served over ramen noodles. It’s so delicious!

The funny thing about my husband is that he will eat anything I put in front of him.  See, for The Husband, a meal is just about getting fuel for his body.  It is not an Eat, Pray, Love moment, nor is there greater meaning in a fajita or a flan.

I am always on him to slow down and actually TASTE the food in front of him.  Get a sense for the flavors and truly enjoy it.  See, this shows the difference between some men and some women.
I want to take it all in, and soak up the food as if it were life itself. And I don’t want to miss a thing (insert Aerosmith song here).  He, on the other hand, wants to plow through life, and his food, haphazardly.  Missing the forest for the trees, so to speak.

Always out to prove me wrong, The Husband recently had a meal at Benihana that he can’t stop raving about.

It wasn’t a complicated dish at all. Basically, it was a simple pork stir fry named  pork Yakisoba.

He absolutely loved the flavors, and immediately asked me to replicate the dish at home.   He even spared a scant amount to bring home for  me to taste.  Bless him ????

So here is my attempt at this popular Japanese Steakhouse dish. Serve it with a side of steamed vegetables, or offer a second entree to go with it, like chicken fried rice.

Here is the pork Yakisoba recipe. I hope that you enjoy it!
