According to The Nibble (my food holiday celebration source), November is National Peanut Butter Lover’s Month. Because I’d never turn down an opportunity to celebrate that delicious stick-to-the-roof-of-your-mouth substance, I’m here to bring you some fun, delicious, and unique recipes that use peanut butter!
Because any self respecting peanut butter lover should know the facts, here is some peanut butter lovers trivia to amaze your friends with. (Trivia courtesy of The National Peanut Board)
- It takes about 540 peanuts to make a 12-ounce jar of peanut butter.
- The average American consumes more than six pounds of peanuts and peanut butter products each year.
- There are six cities in the U.S. named Peanut: Peanut, California; Lower Peanut, Pennsylvania; Upper Peanut, Pennsylvania; Peanut, Pennsylvania, Peanut, Tennessee; and Peanut West Virginia.
- Women and kids prefer creamy peanut butter, while men think chunky is hunky and the only way to eat it.
