Apple Finger Pies are WHAT exactly??
It is no secret that I am not the apple pie baker in the house. That crown clearly belongs to my husband, because He makes a fantastic apple pie!
But I can really knock it out of the park with mini-pies. Of course, I use store bought dough (so what?), but we like them. Even better is that my kids can make them!
5 years ago, we were featured in a family publication in our local newspaper, and my son Noah made our recipe for finger pies. He was so much more meticulous than I could ever be, resulting in perfect apple finger pies. I look back fondly on these photos, because the boys were SO small! (photos courtesy of the Greenwood Daily Journal).
I recently shared my apple finger pies on a segment of IndyStyle (watch HERE), and the crew loved them! That’s why I updated this recipe to share it with you all again. I mean, 2010 was a LONG time ago, right?
This recipe comes together quickly, making it perfect for family gatherings, tailgating, or a quick dessert.

Important Notes
If you kids don’t like the peel it turns out the same using an unpeeled apple.
