A Couple Cooks and Green BEAN Delivery challenge Hoosiers to cook healthy meals for “Cook for Health September”
Indianapolis food blog partners with Midwest farmer and artisan network to provide Indiana residents the opportunity to win three free months of organic produce and natural grocery delivery.
A Couple Cooks, an Indianapolis food and health blog created by husband and wife Alex and Sonja Overhiser, announces today its new campaign, “Cook for Health September.” Challenging Hoosiers to cook and eat healthy meals, the couple has partnered with Green BEAN Delivery, an online home delivery service that provides organic produce and natural groceries to Midwest members, to inspire Indiana residents to cook healthy food at home for lasting positive effects on one’s health.
From Sept. 8-30, participants can cook a meal at home using whole, unprocessed food ingredients and post a photo and description of the meal with the hashtag #cookforhealthseptember on Instagram. If participants do not have an Instagram, they can email the photo to A Couple Cooks at acouplecooks@gmail.com.
Contestants who submit photos are entered to win three free months of Green BEAN Delivery bins and a chef’s knife provided by A Couple Cooks. There will also be prizes awarded from other local organizations (like ME!) and the details will be announced posthaste!
“We started our blog to encourage people that cooking food at home is delicious and transformative for your health,” said Sonja Overhiser. “We are constantly trying to think of ways to empower people to start cooking, especially in Indiana. This challenge is aimed at getting people in the kitchen and using some of the vibrant, seasonal foods at our Hoosier markets in September. We are thrilled to team up with Green Green BEAN Delivery,”
