Kick off the new school year with time saving, healthy, family meal ideas, and let Produce for Kids help!

I think we all need new recipe ideas from time to time. The start of another active school year is the perfect time to learn new time saving tricks, tips and recipes. I know I get in a rut and make a lot of the same things, just tweaked a bit.

Today’s post is brought to you in partnership with Produce for Kids, all opinions are my own.

I have shared quite a bit about Produce for Kids in the past. Healthy recipes like no-bake granola ballshidden veggie meatballs and peach pie smoothies are just a few of their recipes. In addition to the resources on their website, you can also find their recipes on handy displays in your local Meijer grocery stores!

Recently, I shared my Pineapple Mango Chicken Stir Fry with Produce for Kids, and they included the recipe in their new cookbook, Produce for Kids: Healthy Family Classics. How exciting is that?! You can find my recipe on page 71 of the cookbook, which you can find on Amazon.

Now that school is back in full swing, it’s time to dust off our family favorite recipes to maximize our time in the kitchen so we can get back out and enjoy life. I do not think you need to spend hours in the kitchen just to feed your family. I use websites like Produce for Kids as a resource.

And right now, you can help yourself to time saving new recipes, all while helping others in the process!

The healthy eating-focused Produce for Kids® campaign with Meijer launches September 4, 2016, and will run through October 1. It will raise funds for Jump with Jill, and offer Meijer shoppers healthy meal solutions, recipes and tips.

Since 2013, Produce for Kids has donated $378,508 to Jump with Jill. More than 75 schools in the Meijer footprint have been supported through the campaign since fall 2014.

The campaign is supported by nine participating fresh fruit and vegetable suppliers, representing most major categories of fresh produce. Sponsors include:

Dole® Packaged Salads

Earthbound Farm® Organic Mixed Baby Kale

Highline Mushrooms®

SUNSET® Campari® Brand Cocktail Tomatoes

Michigan Apples

Pero Family Farms® Steamy Cut Vegetables

Green Giant™ Fresh Klondike Rose®  Red Potatoes

Lil Snappers® Bartlett Pears from Stemilt Growers
