Mason jar salad dressings are all the rage right now. They’re easy to make, portable, healthy, and delicious! Here are 6 delicious shake-and-serve salad dressing recipes.

At a recent Door to Wellness class at the Little Red Door Cancer Agency, the topic was healthy Mason jar salad dressings. I demonstrated how easy, affordable, and healthy it is to make your own salad dressings at home.

We made 6 different salad dressings in the class. They were all incredibly tasty, and everyone had fun shaking their recipes up!

Clients at the Little Red Door Cancer Agency make Mason jar salad dressings in a Door to Wellness workshop.

One of the many things I love is interacting with the class. We all have different talents and backgrounds and it all comes together in one of my classes. Not to mention- this class can cook! I learn a thing or two each month for sure. After class we all share the meal we prepared together and talk. It truly is the highlight of my month.

An important note about these dressing recipes:

Because there are no added preservatives, these salad dressings are best used within 2-3 days of being made. There are also no added stabilizers, so the ingredients will settle over time. Just give the jar a shake to combine the ingredients again when you want to use them. Almost all of these recipes use ingredients that are easy to find, healthy and inexpensive. For the tahini dressing look in the ethnic foods isle of your grocery store.

Side note: the lemon vinaigrette is a dressing I almost always have on hand. Not only is it good on a salad, it is also perfect brushed on grilled chicken or tossed with roasted veggies!

Tiffany Kerrigan with LRDCA made these nifty recipe cards shaped like Mason jars for everyone to take with them plus I handed out a jar to each attendee to take home. Then they can try their own flavor combinations for themselves!

I have missed class the last 2 months as I have been hunkered down here at home after my mother passed away but I am looking forward to our next class on Tuesday, July 19th!
