Diy salad dressings- make your own in no time for a fraction of the cost of store bought!
In my last ever Eating Around INdy segment with Fox59 I decided to share 3 quick and easy DIY salad dressings. Sometimes is IS easier to just grab a few bottles at the store, but when you have more time why not make the most out of ingredients you may already have on hand at home?
I am only sharing 3 today but really- your options are only limited by your imagination. There is a simple formula that I follow for my vinaigrette style dressings and I pretty much use the same recipes for my creamy concoctions. I swap out cheeses and herbs- but other than that it stays the same.
My classic Blue cheese Dressing HERE ,Creamy Parmesan HERE, Citrus Vinaigrette HERE
I want to thank Sherman Burdette, Cheryl O’Brien and Jim O’Brien (not related to Cheryl) for making my morning news experiences with Fox59 so fantastic the last few years! As my schedule is growing busier it was time for me to find a home in 2014 for morning television and not spread myself so thin. Like before, you can still find me monthly on IndyStyle on WISH TV- Indianapolis. I will miss my bi-weekly chats with the 3 of you and snacking on set!
Tahini Dressing:
1/3 C Tahini

Emulsify in a small food processor, add to a shaker (and really shake hard) or whisk vigorously in a large bowl.

Buttermilk and Blue Cheese Dressing
1/4 C buttermilk
