Here are a few pictures I took on my family’s visit to the Indiana State Museum to see the Amazing Maize exhibit a few weeks ago. We had a great time and really learned a lot of useful information about the history of corn. My kids and husband are especially excited to see the upcoming exhibit about Jim Irsay, the owner of the Indianapolis Colts football team.
Go upstairs and you can visit the re-created historical LS Ayres Tea Room. This is a place we try to visit every time we are there. Not only do they serve my favorite soup, Chicken Velvet, but it is also the site of my grandmother’s 90th birthday luncheon.
There is so much to see and learn on a day, well spent, to the Indiana State Museum! Bring your walking shoes because after you are done enjoying all that the museum has to offer you can take the family outdoors and walk the White River Canal area. Enjoy the sights, sounds and beauty of this oasis in the city.
