Discover Historic Irvington

Yum

I knew my Grandmother was a trendsetter in her time.  She seemed to know who had the best iced tea, the tastiest chicken salad, the hottest coffee and the newest fashionable wear.  Several times over the years she told me Irvington, an area she grew up on the east side of Indianapolis, was going to come back and become a hub of culinary delights, evening strolls and late night drinks.

This week my husband and I had a chance to visit with restaurateurs and dine at several places along Washington Street in Irvington. We were reminded of why we love living in a smaller suburban area of Indianapolis: the ability to meet, interact with and enjoy locally owned businesses.

Find more information on all that historic Irvington has to offer on the Irvington Development Organization website HEREFacebook HERE, and Twitter HERE

Well done! I love living in Irvington. However, the beautiful dessert pictured was not made at DuFour’s. It is another Indiana gem: http://www.ghyslain.com/restaurants

Just to give credit where it is due

Thank you Audrey, I had NO idea. I have made a correction and added the creator of this dessert and tagged their website. I apologize for the confusion.
