Lake Rudolph Campground and RV Park is a gem full-service family travel destination in Southern Indiana! We recently spent a few days there for the first time and are already talking about going back next year!
Private cabins, crowd-free pools and water slides, paddle boating, fishing, horseshoes, on-site dining all in a wooded and quiet atmosphere- Lake Rudolph Campground has it all. We were invited to stay there this summer to experience everything they had to offer for ourselves. After 13 consecutive years of taking my sons to nearby Holiday World and Splashin Safari, I can’t believe I am just now finding out about this place.
Located within walking distance of Holiday World, Lake Rudolf Campground offers furnished cabins, RV’s, RV spots and camping spots at a variety of price ranges and locations within the park. We rented one of the available golf carts and drove all over the campground to see everything. I highly recommend you rent one for at least a day. It’s the fastest way to get a glimpse at the whole place- and they are fun too!
I have to say- I was very impressed with the cabin we stayed in. We have stayed in a lot of places over the years, but this cabin was by far the best of all worlds. For one thing- it had a fully stocked kitchen and gas grill (on the HUGE deck) so we were able to eat several meals there (we grilled everything- I was not there to cook!). All you need is food and with a grocery store nearby you are set.
Next, there were so many windows letting in the natural light and wooded views. This was nice. There is a full bathroom that offers a small tub for you to give the littles a bath as well. Lastly, bring your own towels and blankets for the bed. There are plenty of places to sleep and there are covered pillows and mattresses- you just need a blanket if you want one. Other than that they have everything you need!
There is a lot to love about Lake Rudolph Campground, be sure to visit their website to check it all out.
Here are several photos I took during our time at Lake Rudolph Campground. Stay tuned for my post about our trip to Holiday World next week!
