Family Fun Summer week 4 is a super exciting one because this is a is big for me AND you! Not only will I be giving away one fun and tasty night for one of you but I will get to be in on the action!

Last year my husband and I attended Zest N Zing sponsored by Indiana Family of Farmers and Indiana Farm Bureau at the Indiana Historical Society.  It was a great chance to mingle with local producers, farmers and have some great food.  This year I am stoked to be a part of this event as a judge in the food competition. This event benefits Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana, an organization I am proud to have a partnership with.

Join two chefs and two farmers who will work in teams to create a great new dish during Zest ‘n Zing: A Foodie Event for the At-Home Chef at the Eugene and MarilynGlickHistoryCenter in downtown Indianapolis on May 7. Doors open at 5 p.m.; the main event begins at 7 p.m. Parking is free but limited at the history center.

**This year’s event promises to be a great one and I want one of YOU to come with me! 2 tickets will be yours and all you have to do is leave a comment.  This giveaway will end on Thursday May 2 at 9 pm est.  The winner will be notified via email and have 24 hours to respond.  The tickets will be held at admissions.**

Mix, mingle and eat with farmers from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. downstairs. Five food tickets and two drink tickets included; drink tickets are for local beers and wines. Non-alcoholic beverages will be available with no ticket necessary. A swag bag with practical kitchen and cooking items is also included.

The cooking competition begins at 7 p.m. in the auditorium with our farmer and chef teams going head to head ala Iron Chef. Competition and judging will last approximately 1.5 hours.

The only way I’m going to be able to go to a cooking competition like this is if it is this one. Ted Allen thinks I’m stalking him, so Chopped is out. I’m sure the ink is drying on the restraining order Gordon Ramsey is about to serve me. Alton Brown hates me. You’re my only hope.

This event sounds like so much fun! I would LOVE to be a judge! I have watched every cooking show on TV! I will be at this event having a blast, because food and competition are such an amazing combo.
